BMW E30 Convertible Top
Fits the 1987-1993 318i, 320i, 323i, 325i and M3

 HAARTZ STAYFAST® CLOTH WITH SEWN-IN PLASTIC WINDOW

This BMW 3 series convertible top is manufactured in the USA from Stayfast Cloth/Canvas.  This material is made in the US and is the factory standard material for Corvette, Miata, Dodge Viper, Bentley Azure and others. 

The two main differences between this material and the factory original German Sonnenland is the weave pattern on the outside which is a square weave instead of a twill weave and the inside cloth does not have the dobby (criss-cross) pattern.

WINDOW:
Includes a new slightly tinted plastic window. The window is sewn into the convertible top for strength and durability. It has been double stitched and includes finishing trim piping on the exterior.
BMW E30 Convertible Top Window
FABRIC:
Manufactured using premium quality Haartz Stayfast cloth/canvas.  Stayfast is a three ply composite made of a square weave outer fabric, a rubber inner layer and a plain cotton lining fabric.  Want to learn more? The material in this top comes from the Haartz factory in the US, the worldwide leader in convertible top fabrics.

BMW Tension StrapsIMPORTANT:
You may reuse your existing tension straps, however we recommend you purchase replacement straps whenever you replace your top. Tension straps lose their elasticity over time and the front or rear loops may break. Failure may cause damage to your convertible top and void your warranty.   • Precision cutting with automated computer guided equipment
  • The entire top is cut from the same bolt of cloth for consistent color & pattern
  • Stitched with matching colors using the finest bonded polyester threads
  • DOT approved heavy .040 gauge sewn-in, tinted plastic window
  • Factory-style hand-rolled bindings
  • Factory-style brushes are sewn into the rear quarters
  • Deck seams are heat-sealed as original without tape
  • Windows are double stitched and include finish trim piping on the outside
  • Metal spring coils are sewn into a pocket around the window for a factory finished fit
  • Front corners are reinforced for added durability

The top went on easily.  I would like to know if there is a protective sealant that I should use on it?  I tried to write to you. using your web site, but it would not let me send the question. It kept saying I was not typing in the correct letters at the bottom.    If you could let me know what you recommend for this top, let me know. Thanks!
