1990-2005 MAZDA MIATA CONVERTIBLE TOP
2 Piece Factory Style - Stayfast Canvas - Zippered Heated Glass Window
Original factory 2 piece design with deck seams and overlapping quarter panels. Includes pre-punched plastic retainers to ease installation. NOTE: You do not need to unzip the window to lower the top.
This top is made from Haartz Stayfast Canvas, which was an original material beginning in 2003. Although it is not an original material as prior models, it makes an excellent upgrade for older Miata's because of its richer look, silkier feel and improved durability.

DO YOU NEED A RAIN RAIL?We recommend replacing the rain rail when you are replacing your convertible top.
We offer both designs either with or without a rain rail. A rain rail is a U-shaped, molded ABS plastic piece that attaches to the rear bottom of the convertible top. It directs any water collected out drain holes to keep it from entering your interior cabin and trunk.
Unless your convertible top is leaking, you probably do not "need" a new rain rail, however, there are good reasons you should consider getting one anyway.
There is a significant amount of time and labor involved to drill out the old rain rail and reinstall it on a new top properly - without any wrinkles. If you are doing it yourself, and are sure your existing rain rail is in good shape then you can save some money by purchasing a new top without the rain rail. But, if you are using a professional installer, the amount of additional labor they will charge to do this work will likely offset any savings you have from not buying a new rain rail already installed.
DO YOU NEED NEW TENSION CABLES?Most likely you will
not need to buy new tension cables when replacing your convertible top.
Like most convertible tops, the Miata uses steel tension cables that are threaded into the pockets that run along the side windows. You can check your existing cables easily.
With the top up and windows open, run your fingers along the edge of the top until you feel the cable inside edge of the top. If it feels tight, then it can most likely be reused when you replace your old convertible top. If it is loose, then it still may just need to be retensioned during the installation of the new top or you may need a new set of spring loaded tension cables.
An installer can also repair damaged tension cables, but if you would like to also replace the tension cables at the same time you replace your convertible top, choose your model year from the accessories to the right.
WINDOWIncludes a new tinted DOT approved glass window with embedded defroster wiring. The window is bonded to the convertible top using an advanced window bonding system that is guaranteed to not fail for 5-years. There is no piping or stitching around the window visible and no unsightly heat-seal press marks.
TOPPING MATERIALManufactured using first quality Haartz Stayfast canvas. The topping material is an acoustically enhanced three-ply composite made of acrylic square weave outer fabric, a rubber inner layer, and a cloth lining.
