BMW E36 Convertible Top
Fits the 1994-1999 318i, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3

Original Haartz Stayfast Cloth with sewn-in plastic window

1994-1999 BMW 3 series convertible tops are manufactured in the USA using the original patterns and specifications to the original vehicle. Our BMW Stayfast cloth is from the Haartz Corporation.  It is a premium quality topping with a plain cotton inner lining. 

BMW Convertible Top Window
    WINDOW:  
    Includes a new plastic window with a very slight tint similar to the original.  The window is sewn into the convertible top for strength and durability.  Finish trim piping is included around the outer frame of the window as shown in the above image.

    FABRIC:    
    Manufactured using first quality American made Haartz Stayfast cloth. The construction is a three-ply material made of an acrylic outer fabric with a square weave exterior (the original Twillfast on the E36 is a twill weave), a rubber inner layer for sound attenuation and to stop water penetration and a black cotton inner lining for a finished appearance.

    BMW Tension StrapsIMPORTANT:
    You may reuse your existing tension straps, however we recommend you purchase replacement straps whenever you replace your top. Tension straps lose their elasticity over time and the front or rear loops may break. Failure may cause damage to your convertible top and void your warranty.     PRODUCT FEATURES
    • First Quality Haartz Stayfast Cloth/Canvas with a plain black cotton lining
    • Precision cutting with automated computer guided equipment
    • The entire top is cut from the same bolt of cloth for consistent color & pattern
    • Stitched with matching colors using the finest bonded polyester threads
    • DOT approved heavy .040 gauge sewn-in, tinted plastic window
    • Factory-style rain guard sewn-in along length of convertible top to direct water flow
    • Factory-style sewn-in plastic retainers pre-drilled for easy, accurate mounting
    • Deck seams are heat-sealed using specialized tape to eliminate heat-seal press marks on exterior
    • Windows are double stitched and include finish trim piping on the outside
    • Front corners are reinforced with moisture resistance PVC for added durability
