1994-2004 Ford Mustang

Convertible Top 2-Piece Complete Kit with Glass Window

This convertible top fits the 1994-2004 Ford Mustang.  It includes a new tinted, defroster wire embedded glass window and is made from a single texture Sailcloth Vinyl. 

In model years 2000-2004 Ford added a rubber weather seal sewn into the top that provides additional protection to the interior from the weather and some reduction to exterior road noise.  This weather seal is sewn into all tops and guaranteed to fit for 1994-1999 model Mustangs as well.

You will receive both a top and window section.  No sewing is required. It comes completely assembled and ready to install.

WINDOW:  New DOT approved tinted glass window with embedded defroster wiring.  The convertible top window bonding system adds strength and durability beyond the original specifications.  The robotically controller bonding system is extremely secure and guaranteed to not fail for five years to the original owner.

FABRIC:    Manufactured using premium Haartz Sailcloth vinyl.  Sailcloth vinyl was an original topping material for some Mustang models.  The topping material is a single texture vinyl — a two ply composite made of a PVC sailcloth grain outer layer and a polyester/cotton lining fabric.   Click here to go to the supplier's site, Haartz, to learn more about the material used in this convertible top.

After the new convertible top has been fitted to your car, you will find the resulting product appearance and quality indistinguishable from a brand new original top.  The windows are DOT approved and feature an emblem to assure compliance.  The convertible top fits to the original headliner.  You may reuse your headliner if it is in good shape.  We also offer replacement headliners and certainly would recommend replacing it at the same time you have the top installed.

I thought it was a great product it took me a mechanic about 9 hours to do it by my self and if I had to do it again I would recomend paying someone to do it. the directions were great but in some portions of it they could have elabrated a little more.

Delivery was made according to schedule; product was actually better than I expected.  The material and craftmanship were excellent.  I have not installed the top; however everything appears good.

Looks every bit as good as the original April 28, 2010

Well, so far, so good - appearance wise, the top looks really great!  It came very quickly after I ordered it.  It seems to be well-made, looks every bit as good as the original, it’s quiet, etc.  Best of all, it isn’t leaking, which was the issue with my old top - it still looked fine, but I was having major issues with every rain drop - which we have had a LOT of here in Georgia this year.  I have not had a chance to put it down yet due to the current weather (either rainy or extremely unusually cold since I had it done on 12/28).  I had it professionally installed by a shop in my area - Tim’s Auto Upholstery in Duluth, GA (they are near my neighborhood and came very highly recommended by several of my husband’s Masonic brothers as well as some others friends who have restored more “classic” cars).  They did not give me much feedback on how their experience was working with your product but it must have gone well because it was finished in less than a full day - which was better than I had expected.
