All Toyota MR2 replacement tops include the complete assembly, including the front section and the window section with UltraMaxx tinted defroster glass and original-style retainers. Cabrio Grain vinyl is a 2-ply composite consisting of a heavyweight PVC exterior that is laminated to a backing made of 100% polyester. The polyester lining has superior strength and durability and a higher resistance to mold, mildew, and rotting. This is definitely a long job. Plan for a 10 hour uninstall and install. The top when finished looks great. Autotops Direct did a decent job communicating when it would come in as it was on backorder for a while. Although I never received an email that it shipped so I deducted a star for that. It fits great. Just what I wanted. The only thing is don’t use the rivets they provide. Use something else. I used 1/4 inch threaded posts instead and worked great when attaching the rear weatherproofing to the top. I recommend this top and Autotops Direct as they worked to get my top even with it being backordered.
I am very pleased and surprised with how fast the top came in, everything was extremely easy and efficient. The soft top seems like it’s nice quality but we have not been able to finish installing it. Overall my experience with autotopdirect has been perfect.
The roof looks great and came while there were still a few hot days left. My mechanic and I chose a hot Sunday morning at 9am! We opened the box but found NO instructions. We wasted a good amounnt of time loling for, reading and watching installation you tube videos. Went to Autotopsdirect to find instructions bur they recommend a professional instal it. I CAN’T AFFORD TO PAY DOME ONE TO INSTALL IT! So it’s back in the box until I can sell the f@&$ing car I can ‘t drive in the rsin!
