Your 1987-1993 BMW 3 Series Replacement Convertible Top is manufactured using premium marine-grade beige Haartz Stayfast canvas. We manufacture our 1987-1993 BMW 3 Series convertible tops in the USA using the original vehicle’s patterns and specifications. The topping material was made in the same factory as the original BMW top, so the color, texture, look, and feel will match. The topping material is a three-ply composite made of acrylic square-weave outer fabric, a rubber inner layer, and a cotton lining.

The convertible top window is a new plastic one with a very slight tint, similar to the original. The window is sewn into the convertible top for strength and durability. The finished trim piping is included around the outer frame of the window, as shown in the image below.

You may reuse your existing tension straps; however, we recommend you purchase replacement straps whenever you replace your top. Tension straps lose their elasticity over time, and the front or rear loops may break. Failure may cause damage to your convertible top and void your warranty. The part number for the correct set of tension straps to order for the 1987-1993 BMW 3 Series models is 11-04-E30-001.
