TwillFast is also known as Sonnendeck in the aftermarket. TwillFast II was the original topping material for this model year Corvette and has a German backing similar to German Canvas. The topping material is a three-ply composite made of acrylic twill weave outer fabric, a rubber inner layer, and a polyester lining fabric.

The convertible top window is dielectrically heat-sealed for strength and durability, with an extremely secure bond guaranteed not to fail for five years for the original owner. The heater and defroster glass windows from SIERRA Auto Tops match the dimensions and contours of the original equipment. The window is made using tempered safety glass and marked AS-2 to show it meets all requirements of the National Traffic and Vehicle Safety Act and the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard, No. 205 (Glazing Materials CF MVSS 205).
