Your 1994-1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder Replacement Convertible Top is manufactured using premium marine-grade black canvas cloth, which was the factory original topping material for the Eclipse Spyder. All Eclipse Spyder replacement tops include sewn-in plastic retainers and a new heated glass window. The topping material is a three-ply composite made of acrylic square-weave outer fabric, a rubber inner layer, and a cotton lining. Having worked on cars since the late 1960’s, replacing the top on my 1997 Spyder was a new experience. High quality materials, and taking my time the job is done and the results are great. Can’t wait to be back on the road, top down, and smiling.
The top did not come with any centering or locating lines for stapling to the rear tack strip. The instructions called for using 1/4″ diameter pop rivets which was incorrect. The size should have been 1/8″. Overall the quality of the product was excellent but the instructions were severely lacking. Good think I am an engineer and could figure out how to get around the instructions. Would have rated higher if GOOD instructions were provided.

The installer, Paul Huff of Elberton and I found the top to be first class. Foun d the service to be jam up. Two installers couldn’t believe the price to be so reasonable. Everyone else had a price wof one third to twice the price. (don’t go up) Your price saved me from 400.00 to 450.00.
