About the Window
Tinted glass window with embedded defroster wiring. The rear window is securely bonded to the canvas topping material such that there is no external stitching or piping around the outside edge of the window. The convertible top window bonding system provides an exceptionally clean look and extremely secure bond.
About the Material
Manufactured using premium Twillfast RPC canvas. American made Twillfast RPC is an acoustically enhanced three-ply composite made of a surface singed acrylic twill weave outer fabric, a rubber inner layer, and a polyester lining fabric.
I was sent the wrong color.
The topper is great! It looks really nice on my car.The only negative is that they sent me the wrong color. This made my 3 day install into a 2 week install.
I bought the 2004 beetle as a surprise for my 16 year old for Christmas, not realizing that the top was shot. I hopped onto autotopsdirect.com and ordered the new top it came fast and on time as scheduled, the day after Christmas. Very pleased with the look and feel of the twillfast top!
Get this, I am a 50 years young unmarried woman on a budget, after spending my wad on the car as her gift, I had nothing left in the budget for the new top AND the install. So, I watched an 11 minute YouTube video on how to install it, my daughter and I installed it ourselves.
It took us 5.5 hours. A little frustration, but we nailed it!
The car and top look great! She loves it!
