MERCEDES BACKREST CUSHION PAD

Fits the 1974–1985* Mercedes SL Roadster. This seat cushion pad is manufactured in the USA using the same patterns, specifications, materials, and designs from Mercedes. It will provide the same fit, feel, and comfort as the original padding provided when the car was manufactured.

The pads are manufactured using a “rubberized horsehair” padding material. “Rubberized horsehair” is a term applied to a material that is composed of sterilized curled hair, where each hair is impregnated with a synthetic rubber latex. This material is a resilient padding, equal to foam rubber and plastic polyurethane. It is nonallergenic and is resistant to mildew.

* Owners of the 1972-1973 Mercedes SL Roadster can order this Backrest Pad, but it will be necessary for you to purchase standard “cotton batting” to fill in the corners of the backrest covers, as the pad provided here isn’t the same as the 1972-1973 factory original.
