1972-1989 Mercedes SL Series Replacement Tops All of our replacement tops for Mercedes SLs are of the highest quality fabrics. Made with OEM original materials, you can feel confident that you are receiving the best product to refresh the look of your old, worn-out soft top. Just as the originals were manufactured, all of our tops are made with three sewn in to-gauge plastic windows, and include a sleek piping trim around the edges. We offer three options of premium Haartz topping materials. The most popular is the German Classic, imported to perfectly match in both black and non-black colors. Just like the original models, this has a material option for a tan interior backing. The Twillfast II offers a stylish exterior twill weave and interior dobby weave like German and also has a tan backing. Our most affordable option is Haartz Stayfast, which has a square exterior weave pattern and a simple, classic cotton interior lining.
