5 of 5 Top install July 23, 2020
Reviewer: Tom Mathews from Altoona , PA United States
This was my second install of a convertible top.  The first one was 30 years ago on an MG Midget.  The overall fit of the top was very good.  The only issue I had was the slots in the rear plastic mounting strip were not fully punched thru and ended up being slightly off that required drilling the slots out to match my car.  The front slots matched perfectly.  Kind of hard to believe with the scope of stretching canvas across the framework of a convertible top that any of the slots were even close.  If the rear slots were fully punched out, I think they would have been very close to matching my car.   The top looks super nice on my car.  Glad I did it myself.  Wouldn't think twice about doing it myself again.  For $500 and a few hours of my time on a Saturday, it was well worth it.

4 of 5 Replacement Top for 2008 Eclipse Spyder April 24, 2019
Reviewer: Michael Cooper from Saint Joseph, MO United States
The top arrived in excellent shape and time. I attempted to contact Autotops several times for installation instructions but could not get a response. The installation was fairly straightforward as convertable tops go, drilling rivits, centering the new top. That being said the stamped places in the synthetic plastic were not fully open and had to be carefully cut with a razor in order for the rivits to be fitted into the frame. The canvas had to stretch for 3-4 days in the sun before it stretched enough to allow the hydraulics to close the top. Occasionally the top still requires manual assistance to close. I am hoping that it will relax more in the next week or two.
