BMW Z3 top replacement	May 16, 2016

10:30 am, began stripping off old top,starting in front and working back.1:30 pm,done with removal, started to re install new top working forward as per instructions on the you tube video, 4:30 pm locked top down in front, finished.I don't know how they can say it will take 14 hours to complete, by 5:30 pm tools were all put away and took car for a ride.I found that the worst part was re installing the rubber weather stripping around the top of the door windows, don't try to pinch them in, spray it with silicone spray and slide them in place from either end, This is the top to buy, it fit perfectly and the plastic screw strips are a big help in aligning the top on the frame.

Great top, easy to install, bad cust service	May 16, 2016

I found a video on YouTube that also helped with the install in addition to the directions provided.

The Twillfast is the same material as the factory top and looks great. The directions were a bit off in a few spots, but nothing you can't figure out.

I did run into one issue and used the website's "Live Chat" button and when nobody was available, it sent an email and said someone would get back to me, which they never did (it's been almost a week). Luckily I was able to resolve the issue on my own.

I give the actual top: 5 stars

I was looking online for a new top for my 2002 Z3. My window had become so discolored that you could no longer see out. I came across Auto Tops Direct and the product looked good. Before purchasing I wanted to figure out how much installation would cost, so used the locate an installer tab and found one locally. The guy asked - which company you looking at online? When I told him Auto Tops Direct he said "good". I've installed theirs before and they always fit perfectly and go on easily. That sold me and it all was true. The new top looks great and I couldn't be happier.

Got this top for a 98 BMW Z3. Had the top installed by professionals. Installer told me the top was well made with top quality materials and went on with no problems. They are now considering using Autotops Direct.

Quality top that's precision cut. Materials are top rate. Instructions are pretty good and with the help of other online instructions this is a doable project, But patience and skill (with tools and adhesives) is required. The tops really need to come with all the straps required to do the job right. I had to pay an additional $100 for the bow straps but that was worth it.

Fits and looks great! YOU can do this with basic hand tools and careful attention to detail...get some decent Torx sockets, 25,30,40...toughest part is crawling around on the inside of the vehicle trying to bolt up the rear since this car is so small..you definitely need small, dextrous and powerful hands...and keep them clean throughout the process...take your time and try to have fun with this and just steadily keep moving forward...probably the best trick I learned is to unbolt one side of the second bow to give me enough slack to attach the plastic strip on the drivers side door...then just push the bow back up in place...a good awl is really great to use to locate holes and get things centered...Now that I've done this one, I'd do it again in half the time..give yourself a few days and don't be in a rush...
