2001-2006 Chrysler Sebring
You have a choice of topping material—Sailcloth Vinyl or Twillfast Cloth. The original topping material depended on the model of Sebring.
We have Chrysler Sebring convertible tops in Sailcloth Vinyl for your 2001 through 2006 Sebring. In 2001 and 2002 the Sebring was fitted with either Sailcloth Vinyl or Twillfast Canvas convertible tops.
In 2003, the Sebring was given three trim designations, the LX/GTC which only came with Sailcloth Vinyl, the LXi, which came with both Sailcloth Vinyl and Twillfast Canvas and the Limited, which came with Twillfast.
Fortunately, both of the Sebring convertible top materials we offer will fit all 2001 through 2006 models and years, so the choice is yours to make.
Sailcloth Vinyl is a very good, lower cost alternative. Twillfast, though more expensive is a higher quality material with a richer look, longer lasting, and is better at reducing road noise. Both materials are very durable and will last many years with proper care.
Do you need to replace the headliner? It depends. When performing a convertible top restoration you may want to consider replacing the interior headliner at the same time. If your headliner is in good shape and you are careful removing it, you don't have to replace it. But it is certainly the best time to consider it, especially if you think you might want to down the road.
We
carry new replacement headliners for your Sebring and have a great
price on convertible top protectants to keep your investment looking
good for years.
You may be asking yourself this question. Although we always recommend a professional installer, many Sebring owners are choosing to replace their convertible top themselves. There is no sewing required to attach a Front Section to a Rear Section.
You will need a heavy duty stapler and some basic tools. With a bit of determination you can complete the installation over the weekend. Sebring convertible tops come with installation instructions should you want to do it yourself.
