These are the steel cables threaded into a pocket on the convertible top around the windows. Usually, when installing a new top, you can reuse your existing cables.  If the top becomes loose and you have already tried to re-tension them, then you probably need a new set of tension cables. 

These tension cables are 36 1/2" in length and will fit all 1999 through 2004 Mustang convertibles.

These are the steel cables threaded into a pocket on the convertible top around the windows. Usually, when installing a new top, you can reuse your existing cables.  If the top becomes loose and you have already tried to re-tension them, then you probably need a new set of tension cables. 

These tension cables are 35" in length and will fit 1995 Mustangs manufactured between March and December of 1995.  They also fit all 1996 through 1998 Mustang convertibles.
